Registration and Rates
Rainbow Camp Atlantic will run from August 27 to September 1 for ages 12-16. Registration is open to campers who reside in Atlantic Canada (Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick). Any interested campers outside of Atlantic Canada will be placed on a waitlist until May 1, at which point spaces may be offered if they are still available. Campers can register through Rainbow Camp's registration portal.
Rainbow Camp Atlantic will use Rainbow Camp's tiered payment system for registration fees.
Rainbow Camp understands and respects that people have differing abilities to pay. We do our best to ensure camp is financially accessible by offering a voluntary tier-based payment system. This system helps us to continue our life-changing summer camp programs while letting everyone know the true cost of camp. As a result of intensive fundraising and generous donations, we are able to offer subsidized rates for our campers.
Rainbow Camp® Atlantic 2023
Tier 1 | Tier 2 | Tier 3 | |
---|---|---|---|
Registration Fees | $1400 | $800 | $550 |
Based on the following information you may choose the tier that is most suitable for you.
Tier 1 – The true cost of providing an amazing Rainbow Camp experience for your camper.
Tier 2 – A partially subsidized rate for those who are able to pay a portion, but not all of the true cost of camp.
Tier 3 – The subsidized rate for camp. While this subsidized rate does not cover the cost of running summer camp, it allows for our programs to be accessible so that more campers can experience the magic of Rainbow Camp®.
*This program is voluntary and in no way influences the experience that campers receive. It is intended to allow camp families to take an active roll in supporting the cost of camp. Office staff are the only people at camp who know what tier you have selected and this information is used for billing purposes only.
Payment Plans and Camperships
We believe that money should never hold a camper back from attending Rainbow Camp®.
We are therefore happy to offer a variety of payment plans which you can select during online registration. We will also happily work with you to create a personalized payment plan. Contact registration@rainbowcamp.ca if you would like more information about this option.
Additionally, you can apply for partial or full camperships (camp-scholarships) to help cover the cost of camp. This form is available during online registration. Funds are limited and we cannot guarantee camperships to all who apply, however, if you clearly communicate your financial needs on the campership application, we can do our best to meet them.
Location and Travel
Rainbow Camp Atlantic will be held at Camp Kidston, which is located near Halifax, Nova Scotia. For more information about Camp Kidston's camps and amenities, please see Camp Kidston's website.
Camp families are expected to arrange their own transportation to camp. For campers who require Rainbow Camp to make travel arrangements, we are able to do so and are also able to offer travel bursaries for camp families who require extra funding for travel. This form is also available during online registration. We can cover up to $350 (Canadian) for travel expenses, but you must clearly state your financial needs on the Travel Bursary Application form. Travel bursaries are not guaranteed.
