Rainbow Camp® understands and respects that people have differing abilities to pay. We do our best to ensure camp is financially accessible by offering a voluntary tier-based payment system. This system helps us to continue our life-changing summer camp programs while letting everyone know the true cost of camp. As a result of intensive fundraising and generous donations, we are able to offer subsidized rates for our campers. For more information about our tier-based payment system, click here.

Rainbow Camp’s® Payment Tier System
Rainbow Camp® understands and respects that people have differing abilities to pay. We do our best to ensure camp is financially accessible by offering a voluntary tier-based payment system. This system helps us to continue our life-changing summer camp programs while letting everyone know the true cost of camp. As a result of intensive fundraising and generous donations, we are able to offer subsidized rates for our campers.
Based on the above information you may choose the tier that is most suitable for you.
Tier 1 – The true cost of providing an amazing Rainbow Camp experience for your camper.
Tier 2 – A partially subsidized rate for those who are able to pay a portion, but not all of the true cost of camp.
Tier 3 – The subsidized rate for camp. While this subsidized rate does not cover the cost of running summer camp, it allows for our programs to be accessible so that more campers can experience the magic of Rainbow Camp®.
*This program is voluntary and in no way influences the experience that campers receive. It is intended to allow camp families to take an active roll in supporting the cost of camp. Office staff are the only people at camp who know what tier you have selected and this information is used for billing purposes only.
Payment Plans, Camperships, and Travel Bursaries
We believe that money should never hold a camper back from attending Rainbow Camp®.
We are therefore happy to offer a variety of payment plans which you can select during online registration. We will also happily work with you to create a personalized payment plan. Contact registration@rainbowcamp.ca if you would like more information about this option.
Additionally, you can apply for partial or full camperships (camp-scholarships) to help cover the cost of camp. This form is available during online registration. Funds are limited and we cannot guarantee camperships to all who apply, however, if you clearly communicate your financial needs on the campership application, we can do our best to meet them.
Travel Bursaries: We have campers that travel from far and wide to experience the magic of Rainbow Camp®. As a result, we are pleased to offer travel bursaries! This form is also available during online registration. Please note that the cost of registration includes the cost of arranged bus travel from a number of pick-up locations across Ontario. If you are traveling from far outside of our arranged pick-up locations, we can cover up to $350 (Canadian) for travel expenses, but you must clearly state your financial needs on the Travel Bursary Application form. Travel bursaries are not guaranteed. For more information about traveling to Rainbow Camp, visit our Location and Travel page.
Travel Credit: Registration for Rainbow Camp includes travel from any of our bus locations. For more information on bus locations and travel options, please see our Location and Travel page. If you are arranging your own transportation, either directly to Rainbow Camp or to the Sault Ste Marie (Ontario) airport you will receive a $200 travel credit applied to your registration. This travel credit can either be used to discount your registration fee or we can issue a tax receipt for that amount upon request.
Refund Policies
All refunds are deducted the deposit that is paid as part of your camp fees upon registration.
Should you have to cancel registration for any reason, you can receive a full refund (less the deposit) up until June 15th.
You are not eligible for a refund if:
- You cancel registration after June 15th
- Your camper has to leave camp early for any reason.
- If your camper has to be sent home early as a result of behaviour, you are responsible for all travel expenses.
- You fail to confirm your camper’s registration with Rainbow Camp staff. Please ensure that the contact information that you provide on the registration is correct and up to date
